The Commons Law Center is proud to announce Kamron Graham as its new Executive Director!
Here’s what the team had to say about it:
John Grant, Board President
A genuine win-win is hard to come by, but I can’t think of any other way to describe The Commons’ leadership evolution. Amanda has worked tirelessly since our founding to build the organization from the ground up. I’m thrilled for her to have the opportunity to return to litigation and grow our eviction defense program.
I’m equally thrilled for Kamron to take the organization’s reins. Having worked with Kamron for three years on the Bar’s Board of Governors and for the past year at The Commons, I’ve seen first hand what a brilliant and dedicated leader she is. Her passion for helping everyday people in Oregon is infectious, and her experience and approach are exactly what The Commons’ needs as we embark on this next stage of our journey.
Kamron Graham, Executive Director
I am beyond excited to take on the Executive Director role at The Commons. Amanda founded this organization based on the principle of access to justice — removing barriers for people who fall in a legal gap due to finances or geographic location. Her work is inspiring and innovative and I will continue with those tenants while bringing my own experience, ideas, and network to the table.
The Commons Law Center team does amazing work everyday. Everyone is smart, dedicated, and compassionate. I couldn’t dream of a better group to work with. I am so proud to be part of this team and am excited for the work we will all do together.
Amanda Caffall, Tenant Law & Deputy Director
As The Commons Law Center’s founding Executive Director, I’ve had the opportunity to work with incredible people: our team, board, clerks, volunteers, donors, and community partners. I’m most proud of what teamwork looks like here – how people support each other and the mission. That’s why I couldn’t be happier to have Kamron Graham take on the role of Executive Director.
Kamron brings a breadth of legal and nonprofit management experience, statewide and national professional network, long commitment to access to justice, and amazing rapport with the team, having joined us last June. For my part, I am excited to return to law practice running our tenant law program, tackling evictions one at a time and systemically.
