Thank you for Requesting Legal Help
We have received your submission. Your next steps are below.
Note that we are not your lawyers unless there is an engagement letter that you have agreed to and we have signed.
Step 1: Check Your Email
You will receive an email at the address you provided within the next 5 minutes (probably sooner).
If you do not see it in your inbox, please check your "spam," "junk," or "promotions" folder to make sure it didn't get caught in a filter. If it did go to spam, be sure to mark the message as "not spam" or "not junk," or add hello@thecommonslawcenter.org to your contacts so that future messages don't get lost.
Step 2: Click the Link in the Email
The email you receive will contain information about our family law program and what services you qualify for. If you would like to request our services, there will be a link in the email for you to follow to notify our intake staff. We will then send you a Master Engagement Agreement and Statement of Legal Services and once signed we can begin working on your legal matter.
Please understand that we cannot help with all legal problems and you must have the ability to pay for legal services. If you've requested a type of help that we don't provide or have marked that your budget is $0-$149, then your email link will send you to our Legal Resources Page where you can find other legal services providers.
Step 3: Find out if you qualify for reduced-fee legal help (or free help for eviction defense).
The Commons Law Center is a nonprofit law firm that serves people making up to 400% of the federal poverty level. To find out whether you qualify for our services, and to learn what your pricing will be if you do, please take our pre-qualification quiz.
